St George’s Ascot (SGA) is a thriving independent boarding and day school for girls aged 11-18. Staff enable the girls to fulfil their potential and experience the joy of a broad co-curricular programme.
Georgians benefit from an array of ‘big school’ facilities, yet the school is small enough for pupils to develop strong relationships across the community. Every girl at SGA is known and supported individually by a close network of teaching, pastoral, and support staff. Pupils and staff gain enormously from a rich diversity of cultures and heritage. Whether your daughter lives locally or regionally, is an International UK resident or she comes from the wider global community, SGA is a warm and welcoming place to study, explore, live, and grow. SGA is the school to consider for your daughter.
SGA provides an ambitious, connected, relevant and future facing education designed specifically for girls as they undertake their senior school education, to ensure their individual success at school and in their future lives. It is a place where girls flourish academically, creatively, physically, and morally; a place where risks can be taken, lessons are learnt, and challenges are welcomed.
Examination results are excellent with SGA girls achieving 1.5 grades higher at GCSE and A Level. There is a high level of intake into Russell Group universities, amongst other wonderful places of future study or work, both nationally and globally.
Boarding is homely and comfortable, and an experienced team of House Staff organise an array of evening and weekend trips and excursions ranging from theatre and museum visits, clip and climb and trampoline centres, as well as the frequent boarders’ fire-pit nights with the new pizza ovens and ‘come dine with me evenings’. Socially all the girls regularly mix with other young people at Eton College, Winchester, and Harrow.
The Arts are fabulous with facilities including a 350-seat theatre, separate drama studio and dance studio. The Chapel Choir recently toured cathedrals in Vienna and Salzburg, and often performs in St George’s Chapel Windsor. Jazz and Dance, House Music, Music for a Summer Evening, the Pantomime, Musicals, Plays and a myriad of Concerts and Open Mic Nights are essential features of the SGA calendar.
Budding artists thrive at St George’s Ascot and gain places at prestigious universities and specialist higher education providers taking courses ranging from visual effects, fine art, textiles and fashion and photography.
